We just wrapped our first Walk for Water — and what an afternoon it was. 👟💧 75+ pairs of shoes. 3 miles of connection. One powerful event. Led by our Women of Water team, DC Water hosted its first Walk for Water & Shoe Drive, and it was a success from start to finish. We gathered at HQO, laced up, and walked along the Anacostia River today after getting rained out in May, to close the books on the month with purpose, movement, and community. Along the way, we collected more than 75 pairs of gently used and new shoes for two incredible charities — Martha's Table and the MORE Foundation Group — helping reduce waste and support neighbors in need. 🫶 #DCWater
